Cheapest place to get Canon Rebel T1i/T2i for Cyber Monday

by annnnie / November 23, 2010 1:28 PM PST

What is the cheapest place to buy either the T1i or T2i for Cyber Monday? I'm upgrading from a Canon Rebel XT so I already have the 18-55mm lens, I just want a new camera body.

I don't know, but FWIW you can buy a factory refurbished body directly from Canon. The T2i is $639.99, and the T1i is $519.99.

42nd St Photo - $647.95 for new T2i

42nd Street Photo - reputable NYC photo shop that has been around awhile & gets good reviews. I have a friend who is a pro photographer who recco 42nd St photo to me. I was also upgrading - from the Canon XTi - & found this to be the best deal out there (at least from a reputable place). If you decide you want to upgrade to the 18-55mm IS lens, they also have a good deal for the kit - the lens gets much better reviews all around than its predecessor. Good luck!

Pretty good deal

The printer is definitely very good, but the 75-300 lens would be a quick Ebay auction. I'd sell it and put the money towards the better 55-250mm IS lens or 70-300mm USM IS. It still surprises me that they keep selling that lens, due to the poor optical quality and lack of image stabilization.

canon t2i at bestbuy
by TheMick75 / November 28, 2010 10:11 PM PST

I hate to say, but bestbuy has a pretty decent deal online with the t2i, the 25-255 is lens, and a cannon case for just under $1k. Apparently it's only a package that you can order online. Either way, it's a good deal.
