Question

Cheap Hardware for Minecraft

Mar 12, 2016 12:19PM PST

I built a gaming computer that I use for work as well as gaming, However, my younger brother spends hours a day playing minecraft. I gave him an older computer of mine to play it on, but he is constantly complaining about frame rate and takes over my computer (which he gets about 2000 fps in minecraft when using) to play. With hopes of keeping him off of my computer so that I can use it, what is the absolute cheapest desktop that I can either buy or build that will get about 100 fps in minecraft at 1080p to allow for updates or mods? Thanks in advance!

Yup....not much upgrading gaming wise can be done to that.

Options.
Shop around for a gaming laptop....they can get expensive.
Look through the builds at the link Robert gave and see if something fits your budget.

Keep in mind you'll need a monitor and an OS.
