Charlie Sheen thinks 9/11 was a Bush conspiracy!

by EdH / March 22, 2006 9:12 AM PST

I couldn't believe it. I saw him on some TV show this evening and there he was parroting the whole conspiracy nut theory.

''There was a feeling, it just didn't look any commercial jetliner I've flown on any time in my life and then when the buildings came down later on that day I said to my brother 'call me insane, but did it sorta look like those buildings came down in a controlled demolition'?''

Are people buying this insane garbage? What a nightmare.

Of course we've seen a little of this here...

I saw one of the conspiracy websites once
by Josh K / March 22, 2006 10:12 AM PST

It was linked from a thread in another forum, when it was descended upon by someone who really seemed to be buying this stuff. When I pointed out that in order for AA 77 to be a hoax, the passengers, crew, their families, American Airlines and a host of others would have to be in on it, he was undaunted, shrugging all that off as "unanswered questions."

There was also a site that went into some detail debunking the whole Pentagon hoax idea on scientific grounds.

As for Bush and the video, I believe he or his press secretary later clarified that he meant the second plane and that he didn't see either attack live (though millions of others saw the second plane hit live, since news crews were covering the first attack when it happened). He was in the classroom during the attacks.

Methinks Charlie Sheen has inhaled just a little too much Peruvian Marching Powder. And yes, to make comments like that in New York City is really insulting.

... finding SOME of the pictures of the Pentagon site and questions raised to be interesting at the time (the lack of debris was troubling to me). BUT, in short order, the reasons for this were explained to my satisfaction and I never thought about it again.

I recall the discussions about how the WTC towers fell. There were also prominent architects/engineers (some involved in the designing or very familiar with it AIR) who explained why that was. How anyone can still entertain conspiracy theories about the WTC site is beyond me. I've heard audio clips of Charlie now. What a whack job. Lay off the drugs!

amongst the whack jobs of the left. One thing I noticed a lot of was the "9/11 was a hoax" and such on demonstrators' signs in the recent spate of protests.

That's why I am glad Charley came out with this. I want to know what others of his ilk, say Sreisand, Baldwin, et al. REALLY think. Michael Moore has hinted of this a little too. Left wing nuttery is more widespread than anyone lets on.

Since Bush is simply the puppet of the real and very secret powers that actually run the world.

I'm not sure what you are referring to here... I raised these sites as curiosities but the personalities behind these sites do have quite a following... some of who are acquaintances of mine.

I'm not much into conspiracy theories myself. Too much obvious evil in the world to go searching for some secret society to blame.

What is your definition of a conspiracy theory?

You're confused between a conspiracy of foreign nationals
by Ziks511 / March 23, 2006 1:53 PM PST

to commit a terrorist act and a conspiracy theory that it was orchestrated here in the US by some segment of the American government (hooey) or that some people knew and didn't go to work that day (double hooey). It is however sometimes hard to distinguish between a conspiracy theory and regular bureacratic incompetence.

The only conspiracy I know of was the one to fly all those Saudi citizens out of the US without investigation, interrogation or anything else when no other aircraft but military ones were permitted to fly. I think that made the Bush Administration look like it was hiding something, but I have no idea what.

Incorrect, Rob...
by J. Vega / March 24, 2006 2:01 AM PST

Wrong, Rob. Not only did those flights take place after normal air traffic resumed, but The FBI interviewed all persons of interest on these flights prior to their departures. They concluded that none of the passengers was connected to the 9/11 attacks and have since found no evidence to change that conclusion. Our own independent review of the Saudi nationals involved confirms that no one with known links to terrorism departed on these flights.

What is it with all the dismissive ad-hominems here?
by Echo2 / March 22, 2006 7:22 PM PST

Isn't anyone prepared to actually discuss the substance of the issue? This reminds me of the Soviet Union where anyone who said something the powers that be didn't like got lableled a whacko. How about a little substance guys?

Charlie Sheen said the collapse of the Towers looked like controlled demolitions. I have seen many controllled demolitions. Charlie Sheen was right. The fall of the Towers did look like controlled demolitions.

Why should my watching of it be limited to not selling a conspiracy theory? Are you foreclosing the possibility of a conspiracy before examining the data?
Do you agree that the Towers destruction looks like a controlled demolition?
What is your defintion of a conspiracy theory? Tell me why the Bush version of 911 is not a conspiracy theory.

You question my use of the word assumption but you turn around and tell me you believe the Bush take on 911. You are entitled to believe whatever you want but what makes you the expert on what crap is? I mean tell me with refernece to substance, facts and data. Not just more ad-hominems. Can you do that?

BTW, without recourse to ad-hominems what is your definition of a conspiracy theory?
Tell me why the Bush take on 911 is not a conspiracy theory.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
