Channel dropped on Samsung LN40B530 TV

We've had our Samsung LN40B530 for 3 weeks now and it's worked fine. Today one of our channels (ch 2 WGBH) dropped and is now showing up at channel 19. Our other tv is still getting channel 2 on channel 2. What's up with that?

We have a roof-top antenna. The tv is not on demo mode. I've rescanned several times. When I enter channel 2 it is snowy and says weak signal. So why is it showing up on 19 which I never got before?

Same thing happened to me yesterday

My Samsung (2 month old) P42B450 just moved WGBH Boston, 2.1, over to 19.3
I surfed and discovered that ch 19 is the digital channel that GBH is broadcasting on. I'm not sure why it is not getting shifted back to 2 like before. I also notice that a firmware update was released by Samsung yesterday but it is for a minor unrelated issue so I won't try the USB update thing right away. I'll wait a while before trying anything. OTA DTV has been an evolving paradigm. Channel 7 WHDH has been messing with my TR40 converter since day one.

Anyway, you are not alone, if that helps much.

Same problem here, too

Starting sometime in the past few days, my LN19A450 and my LN37A450 both started showing channel 2.1 programs on channel 19.3---channels 2.1 and 2.2 now show nothing.

WGBH must have fixed it!

Hey, this morning I punched in ch 19 to watch our PBS and it rerouted it to ch 2.1 like it should have been. Yay. I never did get around to bugging them about it. Did a lot or research on the internet and found out more than I wanted to know about PSIP, or Program System Info Protocol. That the thing they are supposed to send with the digital signal that tells the tv to "map" WGBH, which they broadcast on channel 19.3, to the virtual channel 2.1 instead. PSIP also has program info like what's on, what's on next, and the time. I guess the Samsungs are extra sensitive to messed up PSIPs.

It was good to know that it wasn't just us with the problem, thanks. I prob would have returned the tv otherwise, since our warranty is over soon, lol.
