Changing the Size of my server C partition

Oct 18, 2006 5:12AM PDT

Okay...I have a windows 2003 SBS server, running RAID 5 and NTFS. I am running out of space on my C partition and I was considering using DISKPART.EXE to extend the partition a few gigs. I am just wondering if anyone has ever used DISKPART or has any suggestions.

I thought DISKPART was destructive to contents of C?

Be sure you have your backup ready before you do this.

it's destroying data.
so, to solve ur problem there are two ways :
1) backup partition u want to restore (it would be more save if u backup full disk)
Pros : free (it u have backup utility)
Cons : not save and easy to complete
2) download partitioning software.
as software u can use Disk Director. it can resize/split/merge/ recover partitions, good one.
pros : u'll be save and will get some more usefull features that partitioning software has
cons: u'll spend a round of 45 $
