Changing Hard drives

by angelfood / March 15, 2008 12:48 PM PDT

I have a Toshiba laptop with a 40gig hard drive and I want to install a 100gig hard drive. I have extermal USB drive cases and I was wondering if there is a easy way to copy the entire 40 gig hard drive to a 100 gig hard drive in the USB case and then be able to install the 100 gig hard drive in my computer. Thank You for you help M. Burton

I used a clone software called G4U. But check out Acronis if you need something that uses the mouse.

The new HD ...retail version... should come with a drive>drive copy/clone util.
Run the util....remove old HD....install new HD....good to go.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
