Yes.

When such a card is made, you will be able to change it if it has the pci-e removable card.

Two issues remain:

1. I didn't find your laptop model on hp.com
2. I don't see the x800 cards being made yet for retail consumption.

Best of luck,

Bob

Thanx, according to HP the card should be removable.

I guess that the mod nr is cuz it?s a pre config model, HP sweden call the Pavilion with P4(3,2)(1Mb L2 cache)100Gb HDD,1Gb ddr2,bluetooth and 802.11g,X600(256Mb) .... and so on for 8054EA, the 8048Ea is about the same but has only 512K level 2 cache and 512Mb ddr2 and smaller hdd.

I haven?t been able to locate any store that sell graphic cards for notebooks?Does anyone know where I could find a retailer?

Such cards are being offering by the laptop makers.

I know Dell offers such aftermarket upgrades for their models that accept such.

I fear that no retailer will tread there for some time since you would want some assurance that it will function in your laptop. Only mother (the laptop's maker) could ever tell you with any authority it will be alright.
