Changing Date in Excel

Mar 9, 2010 11:44PM PST

Hi, been using Open Office for so long forgot how to use little features in Excel. In Excel, I typed a date in a cell 4-27 and it shows it as 27-Apr. I love that, where can I go in and make changes if I need to so it reverts back to 4-27 or some other format that I may want?

1. Select the cell(s).
2. From the menu: Format>Cells
3. In the category choose date
4. Choose or specify the format
