Changing countries in itunes (and credit cards)

I am English and live in Spain. If I register with itunes using my Spanish card it forces me to use the Spanish itunes site and offers me content in Spanish.

I want to use the UK site but it won't let me register with my Spanish credit card.

I have got round it by using my mother's UK credit card but I would much rather use my own Spanish card.

Does anyone know how I can register from Spain with a Spanish card but use the UK itunes site?
