Changes made to drivej:\

When trying to restore my computer using system retore in Microsoft windows XP i get this message: Changes made to Drive J:\ after this point cannot be reversed because the drive either excluded from system retore minitoring or was turned off or removed.

What can be done to correct this?

For most of us.

System restore only needs to affect the C drive. Other drives are usually not part of the OS so we can opt out of those for System Restore use.

Just repeating some old content here. System Restore never restores YOUR FILES.

Drive J

What is on drive J?

As Bob says, System Restore is only needed for the Windows installation, usually on drive C.
