Central cell phone ring

Oct 13, 2005 10:11AM PDT

We have eliminated our land line phone in favor of cell phones, and it is working well for us except for one area. My wife does not like to wear her phone while in the house, but then when she is on one end of the house she cannot hear her cell phone ring. Is there a device which allows us to put our cell in a cradle and would ring loudly to be heard throughout the house?

I use an external speaker that attaches to my cellphone

There are a couple of options out there for wireless speakers that ring when your cellphone rings. You can place the speaker anywhere in the house (up to 33 feet away from the phone). If someone calls the phone, the ring tone plays through the speaker so you know your phone is ringing and who is calling. Works when your phone is on silent too and also lets you know if you get a text or Facebook update.

There are two companies that I know about: Renny and Celly. Renny run about $100 right now and the Celly speaker is $40. I personally use the Celly speaker (www.TheCelly.com).
