Question

cellphone plan to expensive need advice about switching

by OsipM-24934554258958770112145297842462 / October 31, 2012 3:44 AM PDT

I have an ATT Talk Nation Family 550 plan for me and my daughter. My charges are $50 per month, but her's average $80 per month. She has a Smartphone with lots of addl. charges since she lives abroad. $1,500 per year for our two cellphones, that seems excessive. Any advice about how I can reduce these charges. I hardly ever use my phone, but of course she lives on hers.

You *could* have her use Skype if you have a home computer and she can either load a Skype app on her smartphone (or PC). Other options such as VoIP apps exist too, but you have to get more specific about what she could do while abroad.

It may be time to cut that plan.

Here if I paid for cellular use abroad my current carrier wants 300 a month. No way I'll do that. So I carried a phone that could take a SIM and then picked that up while over there. That's one option and by now they know the lay of the land and can shop for a better deal in the local market.

Meet the drop-resistant Moto Z2 Force

The Moto Z2 Force is really thin, with a fast processor and great battery life. It can survive drops without shattering.
