Cell Phone reception and battery life

Oct 17, 2004 10:57PM PDT

I'll admit I'm a dinosaur and not a gadget kind of guy unless it relates to food preparation. Here's where I need help.

I'm a Chef and owner of a catering company. My cell phone is my business phone. I have Verizon wireless for my carrier. I have the phone that they gave me for free when I signed up for the service. The service is great....the phone is not...

I need better reception.....in all areas....but, my kitchen is a metal building and I get little or no reception in there....My vendors seem to have no problem receiving calls while in my kitchen. I also need fairly substantial battery life.

What I don't need are....Games....camera....computer...everything other than communication.....

Oh, and a really loud ring tone would be helpful with all of the noise associated with a commercial kitchen...

I'd really appreciate any and all suggestions..

Thanks

Chef Davis
