Question

Cell phone number

Apr 27, 2018 8:57AM PDT

I had 2 mobile phones and numbers with my carrier. Went overseas for six months and deactivated one of the phone numbers. When I returned was told that the number was cancelled and could not be activated since it was out of service for more than 30 days. Is there anyway that I can get that number back. Consumer Cellular says its out of their control.

Once a line is canceled there are no guarantees that you can get the mobile # back after 30 days. It does cost $$ for a carrier to obtain new phone #'s and they recycle unused #'s after that time frame. Nothing new and it has been this way for as long as I remember.
