Question

cell phone not switching on

my samsung cell phone wont switch on after i switched it off, however it only switched on only if i connect the charger..please help!!!!!

Maybe it needs a new battery. Easy to try in a shop that sells them.
If it isn't the battery, they might be able to sell you a new phone in stead!

the battery is almost fully charged...
it can only be switched on when i connect to the charger

Clearly there is a problem.....

Even though it may appear that the battery is charged, the problem you are encountering seems to clearly indicate the battery is the issue. The fact that the phone turns on only while attached to the charger is proof of this. How long have you had the phone ?? If 2 years or more, it is not unusual to need a new battery.

As Kees pointed out, a new battery might be the solution. Get a replacement battery and if it doesn't solve the issue, immediately return it (keep the packaging and receipt handy).
