Cell phone hell

Jan 6, 2014 6:59AM PST

I bought two Galaxy Note 3. One for my son and one for me. I had to transfer contacts and calendar from my Macbook. Contacts, no problem. Calendar, impossible.
I called Samsung (3 hours, 5 reps) Nothing. Microsoft. Sent me to Samsung. Time Warner. "Can't be done." Verizon, dinosaurs in the making. Best Buy "duh".

Apple genius bar - Moved my calendar to google in 5 minutes! NO ONE ELSE KNEW HOW TO DO THIS!!!
If only the iPhone 5s were as good as the genius bar. And why are there SO many incompetent people dealing with these products???

I wish it was just a few products.

I pick up 5 android phones and not one phone is like the next in email or calendar apps. My view is the diversity may be the problem. Apple only has to deal with Apple. I hope you can see the problem is not the people.

It's amazing to me that...

This must have been your first smartphone, amigo. Welcome to 2006(!)

Maybe I am confused...

.....by why would Microsoft or Time Warner be able to help with the issue ?? Neither company has any direct connection to a Samsung cellular phone or it's operating system/hardware. I am surprised that neither Samsung or Verizon were able to be of more help though.
