Question

cell phone goes to voice mail

Mar 29, 2014 1:08AM PDT

after 2 seconds phone specifications

tried everthing, but in the end (after a total of 20 hours skimming through numerous forums) i have this:

by mistake i had my old phone switched on while i was looking for more solutions and when i dialed to check, ringtone was working and voice
mail didn't cut in EUREKA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!so i now have the old phone (Nokia100) permanently ON -ringtone on 0 volume- with the charger plugged in and both phones will ring for 30 secs (default) before going to voice mail
swapping SIMs -both for the same number- didn't help
talked to reps from both the store i bought the phone from and the carrier and reactions went from "no such thing" "never heard of this before" to "why didn't you buy an iPhone?"
if either phone is turned off then voicemail will activate after 2 seconds

Did you buy a new phone ??? Did you port your mobile # to another carrier ??? Which model/manufacturer of the phones in question ??? Which carrier are you using ??? Your post is confusing.

new phone - same number as the old phone mereley transferred the SIM
new phone Huawei Y201 pro (specs are in the OP)
old phone Nokia 100 specs
local (Israel) carrier

for checking purposes (and now for the workaround) i took the 2nd and identical SIM from the car phone

The problem is...
Mar 31, 2014 4:52AM PDT

...U.S. carriers (and probably most Euro ones too) don't assign multiple SIMs simultaneously to a single number. [That's likely because they want to sell you more product here, instead of the luxury of only having to pay for one number/line(!)]

Anyway, I'd look there, towards some sort of provisioning error on the account in question. Unless there's something we are mis-interpreting in your explanation of the problem, I'd try to get a hold of tier 2 support instead of the front line folks (who don't always know enough past a certain point).

I think the voice mail which is created i think you would not receive the message back.

I understand...

...you are trying to participate here, but could you perhaps re-phrase your English(?)

If I understand your premise though, I do not believe it is correct. With poor provisioning on the back end by the carrier, receiving a VM on the old handset could be possible. If you could elaborate on what you wrote, it would help.
