Cell phone for business phone

I'm having to move my small office and am thinking of giving up my office landline and using my cell phone (Cingular) exclusively. I know that I can transfer my office landline phone number to my cell phone so I won't miss any calls.

But here is my one hesitation: once I drop my landline service with SBC, I will no longer be listed in the local white pages or in 411 directory assistance. This is not critical, but it is a convenience to those local people who might want to find me.

I'd appreciate any suggestions, especially from anyone who has encountered this situation before.

You reply to this post did not help the original poster with his question.

You asked for something that I am not sure is legal in the UK. I do not believe you can transfer landlines from one person to another without going through due process.

To avoid other people reading your post and perhaps beinng led into something illegal I have deleted the post.
