With some work in the cellular and RF field. My work involve cellular and messaging in the 90's so such work is just done and the engineer in charge plans the cables and it gets done. The thing about RF is it's still a bit of magic so half the time the engineer in charge gets to dive back in and find where the problem after the move is. It seems it never fails that someone didn't connect this or that or a contractor put a nail through a wire or cable.
My problem, well among many, is that I've got to move my cell phone amplifier around 90 yards/metres from it's current position.
I know there will be some signal degradation with this length of cable, but wondered if anyone had successfully done this, whether with a signal preamplifier or not?
I can't move the arial since there is a large building between where my office is situated now and the closest mobile mast and the signal anywhere near my office is really poor.
Any pointers would be gratefully received
