This is great! Now I am dealing with a same issue. ... We paid full for purchase made, and returned one item that was not needed the net day. they said that the refund will be processed within 1o days. Months gone by, no refund. When contacted the sales rep, "since the order has been placed on NET30 terms we are unable to do a refund - we can only do a credit on the account."
kidding me? Sounds like keeping that money as a hostage. What if we don’t buy anything in the future, is that money for them to keep? That's a deposit they keep. Not feeling happy with CDW any more.

My complaint about CDW - this is what I've sent them.
This is my story. Back in December of 2016 (5 Months ago!), I contacted CDW to purchase some software. When I got the software it was the wrong one (a little detail, they sold me a 50 user software but I was only licensed for 46, blah blah).
I contacted my sales rep "Michael Murrietta firstname.lastname@example.org" and informed him that it was wrong. I had to fill out and send them a letter stating that the software was not being used etc. It would not even install because the serial number didn't match. I was sold a second (replacement) software and guess what! It was wrong too - their website had a mistake and had the wrong product number with the right description of the product. Again, we went through and resolved that. However, in the meantime, I was still waiting for a refund from them on the first purchase.
CDW started this whole crap about they'd call the software vendor and see what was going on. My deal was with CDW, not the software vendor GFI.
I have sent half a dozen emails and received as many, never getting ANY results other than someone else was working on it.
I sent some emails and tried to include EVERYONE I could find that might have something to do with this, still no resolve. Below is one of the last emails I've sent. I've posted on their Facebook page but of course, it doesn't appear because they monitor their page so you can't complain about anything. This is my post which is a little different than the email I sent, but you'll get the picture.

HELLO CDW!!! WHAT IS GOING ON at CDW???. I mean has CDW just ripped us off for this money or what??? We have waited way too long on this, I have lost all patience’s on this issue. This has been the most frustrating and ridiculous process I’ve ever been involved in.
I will give this until the end of the day today May 10, 2017, before we pursue another course of action against CDW, Lifeboat, and GFI. I hope we can resolve this issue short of legal action.
We have been messing around trying to get a refund for mess up that was made by CDW. This started in DECEMBER OF 2016!!!
Is CDW so poor at customer service that even CDW cannot resolve this issue?

Again, refund our money today! I am not interested in what goes on between you and the software vendor. You can deal with the vendor. There is NO reason for us to even be in this process.
I used to have a high opinion of CDW, not anymore. I will NEVER purchase ANYTHING from CDW again, I will never recommend CDW again and I will let others know what is going on.
I'm glad I am not just a Joe Homebuyer, you'd just keep their money until they just stop trying. You are holding our refund HOSTAGE for NO GOOD REASON.
I have asked repeatedly, WHY ARE WE INVOLVED IN THIS??? I have NEVER received an answer.
I will not accept anything other than a full refund for the purchase today. I think that I have made this perfectly clear, I don’t know what else I can say or do.
NO ONE at CDW has taken care of this, I’m not sure if it is due to incompetence or lack of caring about the issue. This whole issue should have been resolved within hours or days, not weeks and months.
I want the contact information (email and phone numbers) for managers above the people I’ve been dealing with, obviously, they have no ability to resolve this issue. I’m tired of hearing that someone else is “looking into this”, what are they looking at??? We have provided ALL information required. I want email addresses for the head of Sales, Customer Service, Credit Department, Purchasing Department, and an email address to your Legal Department.
I guess I’ll also take this to Social Media and share my thoughts and comments.
