CDS to DVD?? PLEASE HELP

I bought this new game a couple days ago and it came with 4 cds. The problem is i want to install it on my laptop but the cd/dvd drive does not work properly. when i put cds in the drive it does not work, but when i put in dvds the drive reads its. I was just asking if i could copy the files from cd using my mother pc and then making the file into an ISO file then burning it to a dvd. I tried to copy the cds and then copy it to dvd but when i have to put in the second cd it says no disk found. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

This will fail. Over at geeks.com I see a new dvdrw laptop drive is 50 bucks. Sounds like a good idea.
