This can be media selective. That is, the make of the media can affect how well your car player can handle your CDR CD Audio.
1. Burn at 2X.
2. Try another make media.

I am using Roxio Easy CD & DVD Creator 6 with a LG 52x32x52x CD-RW drive on Windows XP. I am having a problem that about halfway through a burned CD it will start to get scratchy and sound like if I am losing the channel on the radio. By the end of the CD it won't even play the track. It doesn't do this all the time...sometimes the CDs are fine. I did just upgrade to the LG drive from a very old Zip-CD drive that worked great but was a little sluggish and started having this scratchy problem. I thought the new drive would fix it, but about one out of 5 cds becomes useless.
