CD-RW won't recognize games

Jul 15, 2005 10:33AM PDT

Greetings all, I have an 1.6 GHz emachine T1120 running windows xp with 256 mb ram and a 16x CD-RW. The CD-RW will play a music cd and will burn music cds but will not recognize a game. It will read the cd to install the game but when I go to play it says: "Please insert the CD" I will open and close the CD-RW and click "retry" but I get the same message. All the games do this (copies and originals). Please help, need my gameing fix!

The dude said that it was able to install, so i don't think its the wrong disk drive. A little more info might help.

These are regular computer games, and I get the message with all of them, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no luck.
