Replace or Clean

Either replace it with a cheap burner, around $30, or use a optical CD cleaner on both your disks and reader. Radio Shack has them both, I use them and you'd be surprised at the difference. You may have to insert the cleaner in the reader a few times to get it to work but it will. And be sure to clean the disk with a "across the disk movement" and not a "circular movement", start from the middle and pull/push to the outside.

a few years ago with a Compaq Presario 5240. The drive did not go, it was some wire inside the computer, and my problem was nothing worked, not the restore disk nothing. I managed to somehow kick the drive in and make it somehow start reading the disks by running compaq diagnostics and restarting with the factory restore disk in the computer, don't ask me how I did that. It worked, though I think compaq thought I was nuts when I told them what happened, but that's what happened.

The Samsung RF23M8090SG

One of the best French door fridges we've tested

A good-looking fridge with useful features like an auto-filling water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It was a near-flawless performer in our cooling tests.
