CD ROM's that come with Focus Guide series for Windows XP

May 16, 2005 5:41AM PDT

I have a VIA Technologies VT8363 system running Windows XP Home edition with service pack 2. It is fitted with an ASUS DRW-0402P/D (CD ROM Drive)and a ATAPI-CD ROM-DRIVE-52MAX(CD ROM Drive).

Sometime ago I purchased Microsofts Focus Guide series for Windows XP and made use of the CD ROM's that came with the magazine. Recently I tried to look at one of them again but but both CD ROM Drives return the following message:-

C:\windows\system32\autoexec.NT. The syatem file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and microsoft windows applications.

Is there anything I can do to overcome this so that the Focus Guide CD ROM will run again.

Thanks for your suggestion. After downloading and running xp-fix.exe the CD ROMS run.
Thanks again'
