Resolved Question

CD Ripping Program

Sep 12, 2011 6:57AM PDT

Is there a good free or low cost program that I could use to rip
songs of off music CDS that gets the artist and track information from the CD instead of accessing the internet????
This program is going to be used for a lap top with no internet
access.
So far I haven't found one yet. I paid for the Smart CD Ripper program
before I found out that the free AUDIOGRABBER program does what I want except it has to access the internet to retrieve CD info.
Also, the Smart CD Ripper program doesn't add the Artist and song name to the properties of the MP3 file if it doesn't find the CD information and so if I try and use them MP3 files with my jukebox program they are not listed correctly.

The information is not on the common AudioCD.

Hope this clears that up.

But I just got back from errands and delivered a big project last week so I'm making the rounds in the forums.

PS. If you want to keep that music database and not access the internet there are some efforts to an offline database. But it's huge.
