First, all capitals and one paragraph is just hard to read.

Regarding your issue. The usual backflips are:

1. CD Len Cleaner.
2. Get another make media.
3. Update the motherboard drivers.
4. Update the CDRW FLASH.
5. Uninstall/reinstall the CD recording software and update such from the maker's web site.
6. Change the drive.

CDRW drives have finite lifespans and this is just one sign the drive may have failed.

If the unit has another DVD/CD drive (information MISSING in your post), you can find a KNOPPIX CD and see if K3b can record something as a hardware test. Read http://tips.oncomputers.info/archives2004/0401/2004-Jan-11.htm

Best of luck,

Bob

You will need to have a program that will format the DVD if you want to drag and drop files. I also have Ndero and I had to reinstall Easy CD Creator 5. I only made an icon of Format Utility,& Direct CD. Please let me know it this works.
