CD/DVD printing difficulties

Feb 10, 2010 10:59PM PST

Hi Ya'll
Our company has been using a Primera Bravo II disc printer for the past couple of years. Once our settings for the printer were decided upon we experienced good results. Rich colors and fine detail, but over the past few months the colors are becoming duller and the images and texts are increasingly grainy. We continued trying newer ink tanks, we constantly manually and dry-purge cleaned the ink nozzles, we even purchased a new computer and a new printer of the same make to try to figure out a way to get our beauty imaging back. All of this (plus being on the phone for hours with Primera techs) have proven fruitless. Does anyone have a clue as to what could be tried? We've just about reached the end of our rope. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

These are mechanical things why not call its maker and ask how much to refurbish this? Forget phone calls. Ask how much to refurbish it back to working condition. If its some computer+printer combo get them to show you it working.

Printer problems

Thanx for that. Did I mention that we just purchased another of the exact same model and are experiencing the exact same print problems? I don't think that the older printer needs refurbishing any more than the new one does. Anything else?

So it's the old Yugo problem?
Feb 16, 2010 12:01AM PST

I met this fellow that had more than one Yugo. None of them worked well but they kept collecting them.

If the maker/company can't make it work proper then that's a sign to move to another product.

Hope this story speeds you on your way to something better.
