Question

CD/DVD drives not appearing in Navigation Pane of windowsexp

Hi,

my 2 cd/dvd drives do appear in the Navigation pane of windows explorer (windows 7), but they do appear on the right hand side, under "Devices with removable storage". when I put in a cd, the drive letter appears in the navigation pane, then when i eject it the drive letter disappears again.

This has happened after I added a new HDD replacing an older IDE HDD.

thanks,
aL

If you can access the drive ...

and all works fine, I wouldn't really care about where it appears.

Same with me

It seems this is a feature of Windows 7.
