cd/dvd drive problems

Jul 12, 2006 2:15PM PDT

Well, I just changed the hd in my Gateway PC. It now has a Seagate 80 gig (Baracudda) 7200 etc.
For some reason when I put a disc in either drive, cd or dvd, the system won't recognize either one. I can make the disc run by going to 'My computer" and clicking the either drive icon.
Anyone have any idea what's up? Some drivers won't install from the file menu, or maybe they are corrupt??
I'm not sure all discs are reading accurately.

Look at the discussions about AUTOFIX in the XP forum. Not a bug, just settings.
