I have several different programs for burning CDs and DVDs depending on what I'm creating. Unfortunately, I don't have a single program that does everything the way I like it. I have Roxio EZ CD Creator 6.0 and it does a good basic job for me. I use it for creating data and photo CDs and DVDs. But I haven't used it for creating DVDs movies from tapes. For that I use Ulead Movie Factory 2SE. And of course, there are updated programs on the market today that I haven't tried.
I now use easy cd creator 5 for making CDs but am thinking of upgrading to a program that also includes DVD and photo and wonder if I have to start from scratch what I should use.
Audio
In addition to basic disc copy and making compilations / mp3 stuff I hook up my record player to record from LP and find I need a better wave editor to mark tracks, remove pops and clicks and equalize loudness across tracks -- I use Goldwave for the editing and easy cd for the burning. One good program would be nice.
DVD
I have a DVD burner and a dv camcorder and would like to do basic video editing and output to DVD.
Photo
I would also like to make slideshows of my digital and scanned photos and output them to a DVD I could play on my TV / DVD without using a computer in playback. I now use Adobe Album for photos and slideshows but can't output to DVD.
And dreaming in technocolour I'd like to be able to create DVD slideshows and videos in the 16:9 format to fit my widescreen TV.
Any advice / suggestions / experience / ... I see Roxio now has Easy Media Creator 7 and someone suggested Nero 6 but I'm not committed to anything.
Thanks
