If you have sharing enabled and working, the right click on the CD drive in Explorer should have a Sharing option.
But it's not very usable. AudioCDs don't play across the LAN, Games are often copy protected, and if one were to install some Microsoft OS, the drivers for the LAN may not work during the install phase and will frustrate the person who tried that.
It does work, barely.

Hello, I have a laptop running win98se and a desktop running win98se. I have a network setup files can be sent forwards and backwards but I was wondering how to setup cd drives so they can be networked. From desktop to laptop as it doesn't have a cd drive.
