"It hasn't worked for quite a while..." - so it did work before ? Now, what is not working ? That registry error may point to improper installation - unsuitable drivers, firm ware, or a corrupted installation. If you are not able to "burn", the burning program you used may not be compatible with the drive.......You need to supply more information.
I am using a samsung cdr/rw sw 240B and it hasn't worked for quite a while. I finally got curious and looked in the device manager and tried uninstalling it, restarting my computer, and reinstalling the drive. That didnt work so I looked in the drives properties, and it said that
"windows cannot start this hardware divice because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged."
I was wondering if anybody knew how I could complete or fix the registry so that my cd drive will work.
Thank you in advance for your insite
