jb2,
Unfortunately, some website designers aren't very nice. You have experienced a website "intrusion". Here's a link to a website design discussion. You'll see your topic discussed in the lower section of the paper, number 2.22.:
Website DesignSome browsers (Internet Explorer specifically) have serious design flaws and can be used to play all kind of tricks. Opening CD drawers is a trick and basically harmless, but it does show that you haven't secured your browser well enough. In Internet Options, try setting your Internet "Scripting" and "ActiveX" to "prompt" or "disable" and you'll do better, but it also stops certain "agreeable" effects on webpages. It's your choice.
Hope this helps.

Sony computer with WinXP Home, 1.4 Pentium 4 processer.I have a DVD player and a CD burner. I only have 256 memory and need 512 bad. Lately my burner drawer would not open sometime and if I rebooted it would open. Today it would not open at all. While searching Google I was not paying too much attention to what was going on until all of a sudden my DVD AND my CD drawers opened by themselves. I looked at the screen with more attention than I had been and a website was there that said they had control of my computer and that I needed to buy a program from them so no one else could do what they just did. I keep my antivirus updated and have Zonealarm. What happened? JB
