My CD burner will still burns data files, but won't burn MP3s??? Goes through the convert and dies on the burn stage. I have tried setting the speed to 1X, but it doesn't help, also tried a different brand of CD with no luck.

I can still read all data files and play music from the CD burner.
Don't understand why it will burn data, but not MP3s.

I assume it has IDE technology. It is a HL-DT-STCD-RW GCE-8400B B104. Had a stroke 1/2 year ago so it's difficult to take the PC apart, etc... How can I find out if it has burn proof technology? Why would it burn data files and not music files?

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
