ccleaner hotfix uninstallers?

Apr 30, 2006 2:09AM PDT

In cc>windows>advanced>hotfix uninstallers it shows 185mb being used. What are they? can these be removed w/o backup or creating a restore point?

Hotfix uninstallers...
Apr 30, 2006 2:26AM PDT

Those are the uninstallers associated with every Windows security and stability patch you've downloaded. After you download a hotfix, wait a few days to make sure no problems come up...if none do, it's safe to remove the hotfix uninstallers to save space. Note that that will not uninstall the hotfixes (patches/updates). 128MB is a lot of space, so I'd go ahead and remove them, provided the updates haven't caused you fits.

Hope this helps,
John

re: hotfix

no problems with hotfixes, just the annoying auto updates. After the 4-28 MS override of my WU settings, I have disabled it. I created my own task schedule and I read cnet V & S forum. Thanks for reply

129 update

I got that,I had previous versions. Did you read the links in my last post? The way I read MS, the updates are threads of past hotfix releases. That's what I am trying to clarify. I'm still waiting to hear from CC support.
