CC freezingI

I have a Panasonic TV TC-P50G10 on an antenna that the closed caption freezes on the screen . Can only be cleared by shutting the set off and restarting . Panasonic recommended shutting down the power , disconnecting all cables and restarting . This had no effect . Please help , I really need to have CC .
