Cavalier DSL Moving SLOW!

Feb 21, 2007 1:18AM PST

I'v had Cavalier DSL for 4 months and up until january it had been running smoothly. But since JAnuary it loads pages like dial-up & downloads like dial-up too. The only thing that moves at agood speed is my torrent downloading stuff but everything else is terrible.

Cavalier works good for me
Mar 9, 2007 4:16AM PST

I have had Cavalier since Jan '06 and I am very pleased with it. It usually is around 3000 kbps and downloads everything real fast. Before, I had Comcast and it usually ran about 900-1000 kbps and plus it cost about $50/month.

The times that I have had problems with Cavalier, their staff has solved my problems quickly over the phone. And, most of the times
the problems were with my Linkys router....which they helped me with....If you have a router, it can cause you problems; it can cause your internet to slow down to almost dial-up speed.

Is Cavalier DSL still working for you?
May 9, 2008 1:00AM PDT

I am currently using dial-up and a Dell Desktop Dimension L800r Windows ME. I am getting a roommate but the deal-breaker is I must have WiFi. I have Cavalier unlimited local for $24.95 ($47 after taxes, fees etc) but now they are offering C2 DSL Bundle for $50 including unlimited long-distance. Any opinions of this ISP Cav-tel are appreciated. The Cav-tel sales rep was clueless if my current desktop could handle C2 DSL. My question can it? If yes, how do I get WiFi? or better yet how do I setup this DSL and WiFi? Any recommendations on routers etc are appreciated as well.
