Casio Exilim S600 - good choice?

by orbani / March 26, 2006 6:12 AM PST

Hi everyone, i was wondering if this camera was a good choice for a first digital camera. i'm not looking for something super high quality, but i do want decent quality pictures for personal use (printing and posting on an image hoster, like photobucket)

Anyone know if this is a good choice? Pros and cons? I will most likely be using this camera for indoor use (close range) and vacationing - so for vacations i might need a good zoom to get good details.

Thanks!

So far, there has not been a review of the S600.

The S500 was reviewed and got a good rating.
Here is that review:
http://www.steves-digicams.com/2005_reviews/ex-s500.html

I would expect the S600 to perform just as well as the S500.

Owners of both cameras rate their cameras very high.

Click the link just under the red Stars in both columns to see owner's opinions:

Both cameras have a pretty weak flash (9 feet).
Their flash will certainly not light up a room.
Pretty typical of such a small camera.

Thanks but one really important factor is that the pics print out good when i transfer them
(camera -> computer -> printer), so does anybody have personal experience or have tried it?

i've read some bad and some good reviews on this camera and a lot of people say the quality of pictures isn't good when u print it so just making sure, Thanks!
