Case

Ok, I was just looking over my girlfriends laptop, found lots of viruses and spyware, so I ran spybot and AVG free. That took care of the bad bugs, but now the machine won't access the internet. The ethernet adapter apears to be functioning well, the cable and hub have been tested and the same setup on my comp works without problems...
anyone have any idea?
