Question

Car wont crank

Apr 16, 2017 7:31PM PDT

i have a 2001 oldsmobile Bravada with the 4.3. I recently blew a headgsket. while driving it lost all power, blew a big cloud of white smoke, and died. i changed the headgaskets, intake gaskets, upper intake, throttle body, spider injection ring, distributer gasket, valve cover gasket and rings. i put everything back together and now when i try to start it the starter only whines and the motor doesnt crank. the ignition rotor under the distributor spins, when wires are connected it bcakfires. the motor will not crank however. doesnt seem to have compression. what am i missing?
