My brother lives in Cordoba, Argentina and wants to purchase a GPS for his car. The cost of purchasing it there is very high. Can I purchase a GPS, programmed for Argentina, here in the USA? If so, how and where do I do that ?

My mother-in-law lives in Argentina - we are going to visit in December and we want to give her a gps for a gift...We would like to buy it in the US - what is the best way to make sure we have the best maps installed for Argentina?

So - just to clarify - you are suggesting the TeleType GPS software - what about a GPS system - are you saying that the TomTom is good with the TeleType.

TomTom will inevitably release Argentinean maps as Tele Atlas (TomTom's mapping resource) just signed an agreement with DataMap to provide mapping solutions for the country- http://investors.tomtom.com/releasedetail.cfm?ReleaseID=344379. I'd invest in a 130S for when you get back to the States- cheap, accurate, not too shabby, keep an eye out for the new maps in the near future though. You can always keep updated on TomTom's available maps here- http://www.tomtom.com/products/maps/
