Capturing multiple video clips and burning DVD

Jan 17, 2005 11:59PM PST

Does anyone know how one can capture different video clips (from multiple mini Dv's), put them together and then burn DVD? I need to know which software will allow me to do this. I can capture a single mini Dv into my computer and then edit scenes as I want but how to do this with multiple tapes and put them together to burn DVD? Thanks.

There are many softwares to do that. It's pretty simple. Just capture mutiple tapes into your PC with scene split, which results in multiple files. Then add each file into editing/DVD burning programs like Ulead VideoStudio to make a DVD.

Capturing Video from multiple sources, then making a DVD

ary888 said to captue the multiple tapes into your pc with scene split, which results in multiple files. What is scene split and how do you use it? Is this different software than Ulead?

Other question - If I wanted to capture video from multiple camcorders directly to PC, what would be the best way to do this? Is there some type of video switcher or box that I can connect each camcorder to, and then connect this "box" to the computer via fire-wire or usb?
