capturing 640 x 480 video from usb streaming

i have samsung scd353 minidv camcorder. i want to capture video from usb, when i capture from windows movie maker i get a poor resolution.

is anyone know any free software to capture high resolution videos from usb streaming.

Firewire and WINDV (google.com) seem to work everytime so I don't unpack the USB cable.

i want to burn vcds. so please tell me any free software to capture high resolution video from usb, not from firewire.

Since firewire and WINDV works so well and is cheap, why fight it?

in my laptop and i dont wish to buy it and i didnot want that good qwality because i only want to burn vcds.

Until you want better video, you will continue to have just this quality. My laptop firewire card was 20 some bucks and included the firewire cable and rudimentary software. Even the cable alone was worth the total price since cables go for that much in the stores.

It's ok. Others have written what you wrote and time works them over till they discover the answer.
