Capture Video Help

I'm using a Canon HV20. I have a fire wire cable, that I fits perfectly into my computer and HV20. I'm using Sony Vegas Movie Studio 9. For some reason though it won't let me transfer my footage from my HV20 to my computer.. anyone have any ideas on what to do?

Won't recognize

The problem is my computer won't recognize my camcorder. I used HDVSplit and it still won't recognize it.

Then get the computer or camcorder repaired.

Just the usuals, test each on another pc or camcorder if you want to find the issue or cable first.
