capture large amounts of streaming video minus huge storage?

In my line of work there are a lot of streaming webinars. I'd like to capture them (some up to 1 hour 30 min. in length) First off is there something that can do this and 2nd is there a way to zip it so it does not take up 500 mgbts every time I do?

I can assure you, storage is the least of your problem when you can get a 500GB Hdd. for about $60. So forget about zipping it.
