Okay, I'll take the bait...
Jun 3, 2007 11:00PM PDT

even though the scenario is highly artificial and irrelevant...

Obviously you go for the guy coming into the airport. Not because he is the greater threat, but because you know where he is. He's contained. You don't know where the illegal waiting to cross the border is, so you have no chance of stopping him at all.

Can we get back to reality now instead of posting silly meaningless quizzes?

You stil don't get it

They KNEW about him. He is in custody right now.

But they DON'T know about the state of health of the thousands of illegals or where they are or what diseases they may spread.

Which is the greater threat? The guy in custody?

You don't get it Ed

The guy was not TAKEN INTO CUSTODY... the guy SURRENDERED! He admits publicly he made a run for the US to get what he viewed as life saving treatment. The whole point of discussion is how we were not able to stop him and the threat that failure represents.

Sheesh! You must be the kind of fellow who calls himself a great hunter because a deer stepped out in front of your car.

Tired of BS and personal attacks...
Jun 4, 2007 12:39AM PDT

the point is that the guy is in custody, hence no longer a threat. They knew about him and would have gotten him sooner or later.

Many others are not and may be a threat because we don't know who they are or where they are.

Not at all what I said...

not that you'd let reality intrude into your fantasy world. You've mischaracterized everything I've said on this topic.

No more, Grim. Just not interested.

The down fall of any intellectual discussion is when there is an appeal to emotion rather than a discussion of fact. I find it amusing that this very principal is used to justify protesting against "political correctness". On the one hand, there is a demand to not obscure the "truth" with any attempt to salve someone's feelings... to call a spade a spade as it were.

On the other hand, you have based almost every comment about what I have discussed here as being some thing offensive. Purposefully targeting a group or individual just because they were rich. I remember one of the first threads I ever participated in here on SE where the former secretary of education, William Bennett, postulated that aborting black children would correlate to decreasing crime in America. In that instance you vehemently protested that anyone avoiding discussion of such possibilities was just being politically correct.

It is hilarious that you now come down firmly on the side of political correctness in your charges against me. Twist and squirm all you want. You are exposed.

That was NOT a personal attack....

it was the plain truth.

Look over the thread. You will see many attacks against me and many mischaracterizations of what I was saying. S.O.P. for Grim, but I no longer care.
