And, by the way...

Some of those illegals come from places like Guatemala and El Salvador and other Central and South American countries, and many other parts of the world too. That's internationsl travel, is it not?

What about the failure Ed?
Jun 3, 2007 2:48AM PDT

What about the billions of dollars spent by our government for Homeland security which can't stop one man?

Funny how that is never an issue until it becomes convenient for you to raise it as such.

Nope, you would rather complain about the poor abused rich people who never get treated fairly. You would rather create elaborate scenarios of hundreds of illegal immigrants spending months in our country being a larger threat than the 24 hour period I was focusing on.

Historically speaking, I think this period of Homeland security development will go down as one of the largest pork barrel investments in american history. For whatever reason you want to construct to downplay it... this guy presented a possible major threat to health and welfare of world citizens and our government couldn't stop him. We couldn't even stop him when he was in hands reach of a border guard.

It's not about class, it's not about race or any of the other obfuscations you enjoy raising. It is about a failure of the american homeland security system to stop one man who presented a public danger not just once but a multitude of times.

Swallow that camel.

Did they spend billions trying to stop this guy?
Jun 3, 2007 2:57AM PDT

I don't think so.

Look, you made an insensitive, bigoted statement and won't own up to it, and expend huge amounts of foam and spittle and BS trying to deny reality.

Enough already.

Insensitive? Bigoted?
Jun 3, 2007 3:25AM PDT

To whom? About what?

Man, go crying to the mod alert button on that one there kiddo. Yes sir boyee! That is a clear violation of the TOS right there ifin I did that!

Your quick to complain to the authorities or at least you were yesterday. I believe you have accused me of a banning offense there.

Talk about balderdash.

I'm going out to enjoy the afternoon with a clear conscience.

C-Ya!

Enough of you. Over and OUT!

All bluster and no substance. There is a name for...
Jun 3, 2007 10:12AM PDT

... a person who makes empty threats and accusations.

When will you ever learn Ed. that this is a discussion forum. A place where people talk about possibilities. You're too busy trying to score points in a fictional game of your own creation. And you resort to insults, exaggerations and hyperbole when you can't come up with substantial debate. A failing you usually resort to within a few posts and this thread does not fail in supporting my assertion.

As I told someone recently... you keep me on my toes and I appreciate and like you for that. But the fact we are dealing with right now is you have accused me of making a bigoted comment which is expressly against the TOS. Such is a banning offense.

Back it up Ed, get me banned. You have in essence, called me a bigot so back up your accusation! I'm certainly honorable enough that I won't play the MPD games that some of your friends do, if I get banned. This is your chance to get rid of me... not that I haven't given this chance before.

Bottom line Ed, quit coming here to bait people. Your smart enough that I value your comments. What I don't appreciate is your games. Yeah, we all know you say you don't play games... too bad your conduct proves different.

Now, I'm through with this thread so feel free to throw out a few more comments and declare victory or whatever makes you happy. See you around (or not).

In the meantime... maybe I should bring it up with the powers that be that you are going around calling people "bigot". Hmmm? Should I push the mod button on this one?

Just be nice Ed, disagree all you want but be nice about it. Stop with the BS.

Uh, no. It's NOT thgew truth...
Jun 3, 2007 4:23AM PDT

You have to be blind to think that only this one guy ever raised a threat to the country and the thousands who come in illegally do not. The whole point is that they've failed to stop thousands, not just one guy.

And, by the way, I have not raised ANY obfuscations. Grim specifically targeted this man's wealth as a negative. I'm the one of the people arguing that it doesn't matter what class or race he is. Okay? Try to keep up.

and your point is?

"You have to be blind to think that only this one guy ever raised a threat to the country and the thousands who come in illegally do not. The whole point is that they've failed to stop thousands, not just one guy"

the whole point here is that homeland security failed to stop one man when they had his picture, passport number, description and probably knew what colour shoes he was wearing!

some jerk in afghanistan or pakistan is sitting there thinking "wait a sec! if they couldn't stop someone they were looking for, then what chance have they got to stop someone they aren't looking for?"

Jun 3, 2007 9:21PM PDT
It's not about class, it's not about race That after arguing the reverse, Grim has now adopted my point of view, which is that it doesn't matter whether the person is rich or not; they can be a threat either way.

I guess that's progress. But it is still ridiculous to go on and on about Homeland Security missing this one guy and to pooh-pooh the fact that they are missing thousands of others every day. Why can't you see the problem there?

but do the "thousands" have their picture

What I don't understand......

OK, his passport was flagged.

Then how come he was permitted to board all of those airplanes overseas?

Easily passed on and no one is a carrier.

Would that qualify as a contagious disease?

PS responsibility
Jun 4, 2007 12:03AM PDT

I've heard of people that pass a disease on without displaying any of the symptoms.

They are called carriers.

That's what I was thinking of not contagious.

Someone being a carrier of responsibility.

If you don't tell us how we can help, How can we help?

We don't give medicals to everyone that gets off a plane.

You got questions how about answering these.

What should Canada have done?

Why should they have done it?

Did YOU respond to KP about blaming Canada?

Jun 4, 2007 2:06AM PDT

Well, let's remove the word "would" from the dictionary, since it doesn't have any weight (in your eyes)

We could replace it with "might"

What about the word "shall"?

Keep/don't keep?
