External storage

Does this unit work if you plug it into another machine?
Can you browse around and see files?

What happens if you plug in something like a usb stick to your machine.
Does it show as a 'send to' device?

RE: External Verbatim HDD does not detect

Hi John,

You can try below steps to diagnose the problem:

1) See if same external HDD works on another OS/ computer or not.
2) When you connect same HDD to your system check for any popup notification.
3) Does other USB devices work on same USB port/ try different USB ports.
4) Look for any error in Device Manager under Universal Serial Bus controller.
5) If HDD works on other system, check for Motherboard Chipset drivers and install it.

Please reply.
