The message here is that it's not something that always works. I've seen Samsung pages that seem to say it works on a PC but then you watch the setup and it's using "wireless project" and not smartview.
If you feel this is a non-delivery of a product feature, you may have little choice but to return the non-working product.
I have a 50" samsung smart TV UN50J6200AFXZA and I want to stream media from my PC and cellphone to it. At first I tried my galaxy s7 using the build-in smartview function and it works well.
Then when I download the latest smartview software to my PC and iphone, it says smartview does not support this TV even though the TV is correctly detected in the device list. I've updated the latest firmware for the TV and it didn't solve the problem.
I also contacted the customer service. They have no idea and just let me watch the youtube video. In the video they use wireless project in windows 10. I just want to use windows 7 so it didn't work for me.
How should I configure the smartview on PC so that it could support the TV? I also wonder why it works on my s7 but not on PC or Iphone.
Thanks!
